  • Freshmen must meet one of the authorized exceptions listed in the Student Motor Vehicle Regulations in order to obtain a permit. Indicate on the form below which exception forms the basis for your application. Please call the Parking Office if you would like more information.

  • A confirmed room assignment or off-campus address is required to complete the application.

  • Commuting students may choose to have the permit sent to their home address. All other permits will be available for pick-up in the Parking Office.

  • PURPLE PERMIT:
    • Students who obtain a purple parking permit may park in the West Millett commuter parking area from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
    • Purple permits may not park in the 24-hour section of West Millett at any time.
    • Purple permits are not allowed to park overnight in West Millett except during a snow emergency.
    • This measure is necessary to insure that sufficient parking is available in the West Millett lot for concerts and athletic events.

  • Heritage Commons Parking: Residents of Heritage Commons who have been selected for parking may apply for a parking permit below. Select Heritage Commons for your eligibility then choose an annual or semester Heritage Commons permit.

  • A permit will not be issued if the application is incomplete or contains erroneous information.
  • Do not send a second application to modify your initial request. Call the Parking Office to correct or modify your application.
  • The cost of the permit will be charged to your Bursar account.
  • You may also print out the form and mail it to the address above.

  • Annual permits are valid until the Monday following the final exam week of spring semester.
  • Semester permits are valid until the Monday following the final exam week of each semester.
  • Summer permits expire at the end of each summer term.
  • Only Commuting students may elect to have the permit mailed to their home address.
  • Please allow 10 days to process your application.

  • Obtaining a permit by providing false information, or in violation of the policy, will result in revocation of the permit with forfeiture of the permit fee. See the regulation for a complete list of conditions that may result in revocation of a permit.
