Parking in Ditmer over the break:

• A car with a current Miami permit may park in the Ditmer lot over either break.
  
• Students who do not have a permit may purchase a temporary permit to park their car in the Ditmer lot from November 14 - 28, 2007. The price of the temporary permit is $5.00 and may be obtained at the Parking Office.
  
• A permit to park in the Ditmer lot over the holiday break will be available during finals week and will allow the student to park his car in the Ditmer lot from December 12, 2007 until January 18, 2008. The price for the temporary permit is $5.00 and may be obtained at the Parking Office during finals week, December 10-14, 2007.
  
• A permit to park in the Ditmer lot over spring break will be available to allow a student to park his car in the Ditmer lot from March 12 - 26, 2008. The price for the temporary permit is $5.00 and may be obtained at the Parking Office during the week of March 10-14, 2008.
  

Fall semester:

• No permit is required to park in Ditmer or West Millett for the first two weeks of classes.
  
• Any valid student permit allowed in blue permit areas on first two days of semester (Fall Convocation Monday and first day of classes on Tuesday); all other permit restrictions remain in effect.
  
• Labor Day—University is closed. Permit restrictions are not in effect on Labor Day.
  
• Students may not park in red or green permit areas during restricted hours throughout the semester
  
• Alternate side parking in effect on Oak and Maple Streets from September through April - EVERY DAY EXCEPT HOLIDAYS!
• Vehicles are subject to immobilization for excessive violations
  
  

Mid-term Holiday:

• Any valid student permit allowed in blue permit areas on Thursday before and Friday of midterm holiday and Monday after; all other permit restrictions are in effect.
  
  

Parents Weekend:

• Please encourage your parents and visitors to use the Miami Metro during their campus visits
  
• No visitor permits required on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
  
• Students must move cars from West Millett parking lot by 7 a.m. for Saturday football game
  
  

Thanksgiving Break:

• Tuesday and Wednesday preceding Thanksgiving holiday: any valid student permit may park in blue permit areas; all other permit restrictions are in effect.
  
• Thursday (Thanksgiving Day) and Friday (following holiday): University is closed. Permit restrictions are not in effect on Thanksgiving Day and Friday after.
  
• Monday following holiday: Any valid student permit in blue permit areas; all other permit restrictions are in effect.
  
• Students bringing cars to campus after Thanksgiving Break may park in the West Millett or Ditmer parking lots.
• A car with a current Miami permit may park in the Ditmer lot over the break.

• ALL OTHER PERMIT RESTRICTIONS REMAIN IN EFFECT - TICKETS ARE ISSUED - ON PRESIDENTS DAY!
  

Spring Break:

• Any valid student permit allowed in blue permit areas on Thursday and Friday before Spring Break week; all other permit restrictions remain in effect.
