Welcome! These links will provide useful information about our services.

  • Event Parking Notices: Students are required to remove their cars from the West Millett and Yager parking areas on dates of home football games. A schedule is provided on this link. Students may store their cars in the Ditmer parking lot to avoid event parking restrictions. Go to the Front Page of our web site and view the map of campus parking areas.

  • Parking News Listserv: Use this link to subscribe to the ParkingNews listserv. You will receive messages about parking restrictions for upcoming events.

  • Apply for your parking permit: Use this link to send an application for your parking permit. All freshman students must meet one of the policy's authorized exceptions to obtain a permit.

    • Freshmen must meet one of the authorized exceptions listed in the Student Motor Vehicle Regulations in order to obtain a permit. Please call the Parking Office if you would like more information.

    • The Student Handbook, section 07.205: Exceptions Authorized for Freshmen to Obtain a Permit
      • Nontraditional student: Age 23 or married at time of registration.
      • Distance: Permanent residence outside of a 200-mile radius of Oxford (not driving distance)
      • Regional campus class: The Parking Office will verify enrollment.
      • Commuter: Student who resides in the home of a parent or guardian.
      • Internship: Student shall provide verification from the instructor indicating academic credit for the internship.
      • Business (employment): Student shall provide a pay stub from the employer reflecting hours worked 21 days or more after the start of each semester. No other documentation is acceptable as proof of employment. Employment must be outside of the Oxford area.
      • Exceptional transportation need: Student with an exceptional transportation need shall provide a statement of need at time of application.
      • Health: A student with a medical need that requires the use of a vehicle shall obtain authorization from a physician at the Student Health Service prior to making application. The Parking Office will not accept documentation from personal physicians.
      • Military: Student shall provide written verification by the commanding officer. Involvement in Miami University's ROTC units does not meet this qualification.
