General Information
The Miami Metro Bus provides transportation around the Oxford campus, uptown, and to several off-campus student housing areas. Four main routes–Blue, Red, Green and Yellow–interconnect so passengers can ride within the area by transferring from one route to another. Shuttle routes from Millett and Ditmer parking lots provide service to the center of campus. Students, faculty, and staff may ride all Metro routes.

  • The buses operate daily during fall and spring semesters excluding University recognized holidays.
  • There is no Metro service during the summer.
  • Lost & Found: Please call (513) 524-2877 to inquire about a personal item left on a Metro bus.

    Hamilton Campus
    Round-trip bus service between Miami's Hamilton and Oxford campuses is provided daily during the academic year. Metro service is not provided during summer break, semester breaks, or on holidays.

    General Route Information

  • Peak Hours, Monday through Friday, from 7am to 7pm buses operate on the Green, Red and Yellow Routes every 15 minutes and on the Blue route every 20 minutes.
  • Evening Hours, Monday through Friday, from 7pm to 10pm buses operate on the Green, Red, and Yellow Routes every 30 minutes, the Blue route operates every 40 minutes.
  • Late Hours, Monday through Thursday, from 10pm to 1am and Friday from 10pm to 3am buses operate on the Red route every 30 minutes and on the Blue route every 40 minutes.
  • Saturdays, from 11am to 3am Sunday, buses operate on the Red route every 30 minutes and on the Blue route every 40 minutes.
  • Sundays, from 9am to 1am Monday, buses operate on the Red route every 30 minutes and on the Blue route every 40 minutes.
  • The routes and schedules described above are subject to change in order to provide the best possible service. Individual approximate times are posted at each bus stop.
  • There is no Metro service during the summer.
  • Miami Metro Express One will leave Millett West parking lot approximately every 20 minutes starting at the top of the hour, Monday through Friday, from 7am to 7pm. After leaving Millett, the Express One includes stops at Tallawanda and Sycamore, Tallawanda and Church, Laws, Rowan, McGuffey, King Library, and Ogden/Bell Tower, Withrow Court and will then return to Millett.
  • The Express Two will leave the Millett West Parking Lot every 20 minutes starting at 10 minutes after the hour Monday through Friday from 7am to 7pm, with stops at Tallawanda and Sycamore, Tallawanda and Church, High and University, Campus Avenue, Campus Avenue Buildiing, McGuffey Museum, Shriver Center, Benton, Withrow Court and back to Millett.
  • The Ditmer Express departs every 30 minutes between 7am and 7pm Monday through Friday. After leaving Ditmer the Express goes to Western Campus, Morris Hall, Shriver Center, Phillips Hall, Recreational Sports Center, corner of Chestnut & Campus Avenue, Student Health Center, Campus Avenue Building, McGuffey Museum, Shriver Center and then returns to Ditmer.

    Access Miami
    Access Miami is a service offered to students with disabilities. The service provides door to door transportation for students to and from residences, classrooms, and medical offices in the Oxford area. Students who need a transport with Access Miami should call (513) 593-2715. Access Miami operates 7am to 6pm Monday through Friday, 11am to 6pm on Saturday, and 9am to 6pm on Sunday. Students needing disability access transportation to classes and medical appointments have priority over students requesting disability access transportation to their residence. Service on the College Corner Pike will be extended to student residences and medical facilities only. Metro buses are not equipped for disability access. This service is available only on specially-equipped buses or the Access Miami van. The service operates during the Metro's regular schedule.

    Nighttime Door to Door service (NDD)
    The Nighttime Door to Door van provides transportation for persons traveling singly or in pairs during evening hours. Call (513) 593-2716 for this service. Operating hours are Monday-Wednesday, 6pm-2am, and Thursday-Sunday, 6pm-4am.

  • Students calling NDD should consider riding the Miami Metro when their destinations are on or near a Metro route.
    NDD service is not provided to addresses on College Corner Pike, west of Locust and Church Streets. In order to provide maximum efficiency of the NDD van, please consider using the Miami Metro as it may stop at or near your destination.

    Severe Weather
    All services (Metro bus routes, Nighttime Door to Door and Access Miami vans) may experience delays or may terminate service as weather and road conditions necessitate. Miami Metro will comply with snow emergency restrictions.
