Special Notice:
Miami University’s Campus Avenue Parking Garage:
Parking All Day
- A monthly DAYTIME pass is available for $25 that gives a month of daytime garage parking (6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.). Further information is available on the Campus Avenue Garage link above.
Parking Overnight
- A monthly OVERNIGHT pass is available for $75 that gives a month of overnight parking. Further information is available on the Campus Avenue Garage link above.
Parking by the Hour
- The fee for parking in the garage during the day is 50 cents/hour. No permit is needed for daytime parking in the garage.
Parking in Ditmer over the break:
- A car with a current Miami permit may park in the Ditmer lot over either break.
- Students who do not have a permit may purchase a temporary permit to park their car in the Ditmer lot from November 16 - 26, 2007. The price of the temporary permit is $5.00 and may be obtained at the Parking Office.
- A permit to park in the Ditmer lot over the holiday break will be available during finals week and will allow the student to park his car in the Ditmer lot from December 12, 2007 until January 14, 2008. The price for the temporary permit is $5.00 and may be obtained at the Parking Office during finals week, December 10-14, 2007.
- A permit to park in the Ditmer lot over spring break will be available to allow a student to park his car in the Ditmer lot from March 14 - 24, 2008. The price for the temporary permit is $5.00 and may be obtained at the Parking Office during the week of March 10-14, 2008.
Event Parking Alert:
- Students who live on campus are encouraged to store their cars in the Ditmer lot to avoid event parking restrictions.
Permit Eligibility:
- Freshman students must meet one of the exceptions listed in the Motor Vehicle and Bicycle Regulation to qualify for a permit. Access the regulation through the Parking Regulations link at left to learn about the qualifications for a permit. The Parking Office will provide information and assistance for students who need a parking permit.
- Sophomores, juniors, seniors and gradute students are permitted to bring a car, but are required to register the vehicle with the University and obtain a parking permit if the car is to be parked on campus at any time.
- Students are encouraged to contact the Parking Office for information about how to obtain a parking permit. Allowing another student to obtain a permit for your car is a violation that may result in a $300 fine as well as disciplinary action and the revocation of the permit.
- Permits for Student Employees:
- During the summer, all high school and college student employees who are not enrolled in summer classes may purchase a blue permit for $10 that carries them through the whole summer.
- During the fall and spring, all high school student employees who are not currently taking classes may purchase a red permit for $15 that carries them through the semester.
- High School Student employees will pay a maximum of $30/fiscal year, starting with summer.
