You are invited to participate in the Miami University Portfolio Writing Program by submitting a collection of your best writing:

Earn up to six Miami University credits toward graduation
Take courses of your choice by earning credit for first-year composition at Miami University
Submit your portfolio anytime between May 1 and June 16, 2008
Receive results of your submission by July 18, 2008
Earn publication in The Best of Miami University Portfolios

A portfolio is a collection of written work you select and assemble to showcase your writing talent. Following the “Portfolio Contents” guidelines set out on this website, you may choose your own topics and revise your work as much as you like. The portfolio-creating process resembles the kind of writing done in Miami's first-year composition classes. In fact, your portfolio will be evaluated by Miami composition teachers.
