Undergraduate Associates

Selected philosophy majors who show superior promise and express an interest in the teaching of philosophy may be designated during their senior year as Undergraduate Associates, provided they have a GPA of at least 3.0 in philosophy, and an overall GPA of at least 2.5. Each associate serves under the sponsorship of a faculty member, who assumes responsibility for providing an overall view of the profession, including its demands and rewards. In the past, several Undergraduate Associates in the Philosophy Department were admitted to prestigious graduate schools. Applications and further information are available in the Honors Office.
