My areas of interest are Indian
and Comparative Philosophy, Philosophy
of Religion, Philosophy of Law
and Ethics. Some of the courses
I teach are: Philosophies of
India, Buddhist Philosophy, Gandhian
Philosophy, Philosophy of Law.
In the past few years I have
published in the areas of Indian
and Comparative Philosophy and
analytical jurisprudence and
edited the following books:
Indian
Philosophy : Past and Future,
Dimensions of Karma, Perspectives
on Vedanta, New Essays in the
Philosophy of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Continuing work include publication
of New
Essays series
on the philosophy of some eminent
Indian philosophers.
I was a past President of the Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy and
Founder-Director of International
Congress of Vedanta which I founded in 1986 to bring together scholars of
Indian philosophy and religion from all over the world for the study and exchange
of ideas and research in Indian Philosophy. Fifteen International Conferences
were held so far and three more conferences will be held during 2005 and 2006.
