The Common Data Set is a collaboration between university
representatives and publishers of college guidebooks
(U.S. News & World Report, College Board, and
Peterson's). It includes data on admissions, student
enrollment, faculty, class size, financial aid and
other measures, using standard definitions that aid
comparisons between schools. Universities across the
country complete the CDS questions each year and submit
them for inclusion in college guidebooks.
Miami University's CDS data is available on the Institutional
Research website for every year going back to 1998-1999.
If you do not see the current year's data, it is probably
not completed. Check back later - the CDS data is
usually not completed until the Spring semester of
the year.
For more information on the Common Data Set, see
their website.
