Undergraduate Research '08 Forum Presentation Registration

The UR Forum Planning Committee requests individual students limit registration to one presentation type so that as many students as possible can participate. Students may choose one of these options.

Option 1. Poster

Option 2. Oral

Option 3. Register for the Census (for students who cannot present at the forum).

In mid-March the event coordinator will send students information about their assigned time. Check the Registered Students page to verify your information or contact ura@muohio.edu if you have questions about your registration.

1. Poster Presentation Registration

All posters will be on display from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Student presenters will be asked to be at their posters either from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. or from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The poster format involves displaying text and graphics on a free-standing bulletin board provided at the presentation site.

Students who registered for the poster session will be scheduled according to the preference listed on their registration form. Registered students should expect detailed information via e-mail in early April. 2. Oral Presentation Registration

Students will present a 12 minute summary of their research results and take questions from the audience. This experience encouarges students to present their research as if they are attending a national conference. Oral presentations will take place on the 3rd floor of Shriver on April 16, 2008 as part of the UR Forum. A limited number of 10-15 minute time slots will be available between 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information about the oral presentations, please contact Martha Weber (weberme@muohio.edu).

3. Census Registration for Miami Undergraduate Projects

If you can not present at the forum, please consider listing your project in the Undergraduate Research Census.

As a compliment to the UR Forum we have a new opportunity -- the Undergraduate Research Census. This census opportunity is for students who do not plan to present their research at the UR Forum but who still would like to have their research efforts celebrated. Students may choose to list their undergraduate research project information in the undergraduate research census which will be printed in the same brochure with the Undergraduate Research Forum presenters lists.
March 1, 2008 is the deadline for students to register for Undergraduate Research Census.
