Distinguished Scholar Nomination Deadline November 2, 2009

We wish to remind you of the Miami University Distinguished Scholar Awards, designed to honor faculty who have demonstrated a sustained level of excellence in research or other creative activity.

The Committee on Faculty Research (CFR) is a committee of University Senate charged with supporting and encouraging the development of research and creative activity at Miami University. In carrying out this responsibility, the CFR administers a program of Faculty Research Grants that support faculty research and creative activities. The deadline for applying for the Faculty Research Grants Program is 5:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009. Awards generally are announced by mid-November.

The CFR also has responsibility for the Distinguished Scholar Awards Program in which Miami faculty members are selected annually to be recognized for outstanding research and scholarly activities.

The deadline for OARS to receive nominations for the Distinguished Scholar Awards is Monday, November 2, 2009
