Laboratory Technicians• Principal Investigator
Katie and Dave are responsible for maintaining our cricket colony and for general lab upkeep, and are known for running a tight ship. Katie is a junior zoology major and has worked in the lab since her sophomore year. She obtained a Hughes Summer Internship in 2005 during which she learned histology and immunocytochemisty and made important contributions to the neurogenesis project. Katie plans to become a high school biology teacher following graduation. Dave is a sophomore zoology major and the most recent addition to the lab. He has become an expert cricket wrangler. He will begin working on a research project in his junior year and plans to enter medical school after graduation.
