Contributing to Our Program
Important Note: 11/2009
We are sorry to report that, because of changing economic and other conditions in the university, the department and other university officials have agreed to suspend the MTSC program at this time. It is unlikely that the program will admit students again in the near future. If you have questions about the closure of the program, please don’t hesitate to direct them to Dr. Kerry Powell, Chair, Department of English.
How to Contribute
Miami’s Master of Technical and Scientific Communication (MTSC) program increasingly must rely on private support not only to maintain but also to strengthen our program. Because our need for state-of-the-art equipment and resources is great, we would appreciate a contribution at any level —$500, $250, $100—or the highest amount you are capable of giving.
Your gift could provide funding in many different areas, including the following:
- Software for our computerized classroom
- Equipment, such as hardware, for our MTSC computer laboratory
- Enrichment for classes through speakers and cooperative teaching
- Sponsorship for students to conferences
If you do contribute, you will be listed in the Report of Donors on our MTSC web site. If you contribute annually, you will also be recognized in the Annual Report of Donors and Volunteers through the Miami University Annual Fund, which includes the following gift clubs:
| Gift Club | Amount | Frequency |
|---|---|---|
| Bishop Society | $1,000-$2,499 | Annually |
| 1809 Club | $500- $999 | Annually |
| Heritage Club | $250- $499 | Annually |
| Towers Club | $100- $249 | Annually |
We thank you in advance for considering support of the MTSC program: Your gift could help make our program even better. Just print out the form, in PDF format. Please return it with your contribution to Jean Lutz, Director, Master of Technical and Scientific Communication Program, English Department, Miami University, Oxford, OH 45056.
