Service Analytical Laboratory

The MML routinely conducts analysis for industry, which requires the identification of small particulates and/or contaminants. This process is usually initiated with a phone call from the client, at which time a determination is made as to whether the MML can help. Upon receipt of the samples, an estimate of cost will be relayed to the client. With approval, the MML will conduct the analysis and do everything possible to provide verbal results within three days of receipt of the samples. A full written report is then submitted to the client within two weeks of receiving the samples. Service analytical work is generally done using a purchase order.

Extended Research Agreements

The second method of using the MML is as a research laboratory. Due to the exploratory nature of this work, grants or contracts are typically negotiated before hand. The MML provides a 20% reduction in the hourly rate for extended research agreements, provided the funds are forwarded to the MML prior to the start of the project. In cases where fire fighting is required, extended research agreements will take precedence over normal hourly contract work.
