Network Services Enterprise (NSE) — Off-Campus Telephone Service

Join the many off-campus telephone customers in enjoying the low monthly rates plus individually billed discounted long distance service! Miami University now has TWO campus phone exchanges: 529- (on-campus) and 664- (off-campus).

Phone Service:

• Uses long distance authorization codes for long distance calls
• Charges billed through Bursar
• Provides automatic listing with campus operator

Includes these standard calling features:

• Voicemail
• Call Waiting
• Call Waiting Cancel
• Caller ID
• Three-Way Conference Calling
• Return Calling
• Collect Call Blocking (Upon customer request)
• Call Repeat

Long Distance Authorization Code Accounts:

• Provide same discounted long distance rates and services as provided to on-campus residents.
• Each individual uses his/her own authorization code to call long distance from any 529- phone line.
• Individual long distance accounts are provided with a detailed long distance summary of calls available on-line each month. These summaries are available on-line at https://www.admin.muohio.edu/phpapps/telecom/. We no longer mail monthly statements.
• Student authorization codes can be deactivated without notification.

Phone Line Service Rates:

• $25.00 - Per Phone Line - monthly basic charge
• $ 5.95 - Optional Cincinnati Bell Wirecare Service

Eligibility:

• Miami University students, faculty, and staff
• Must be located within 3 miles of Verizon exchange building in Oxford

Installation / Transfer Fees:

• $60.00 - One-time Installation Charge. Does not include inside wiring or new jack installation if required.
• $10.00 - Name Transfer Charge when line responsibility is transferred to another person.
• $60.00 - Address Transfer Charge when line is transferred to a new address, if a technician does not need to visit the address to connect service.

Long Distance Rates: (On & Off-Campus)

• All calls within the domestic United States will be 4.9 cents per minute.
• Rates pertain to calls made within the United States. Listed rate is total cost (no hidden charges). Charge is based on time call was initiated. International call rates vary according to country.

Complete your enrollment form(s) on-line.

The lineholder must complete an enrollment form and submit it to the NSE office for processing. (Roommates need to apply only for long distance authorization code accounts.)
