Miami University's Office of Telecommunications provides communication services for the faculty, staff and students of the Oxford, Hamilton and Middletown campuses. Telecommunications is located at 200 Robertson Hall, telephone (513) 529-3511.

Mission Statement

The Office of Telecommunications provides and maintains a comprehensive voice communications system, data communication pathways, and other communication services to meet the needs of the Oxford, Hamilton, and Middletown campuses of Miami University, and its faculty, staff, students, and correspondents.

Services Provided for Faculty, Staff and Students Include:

  • Campus, local, and long-distance calling
  • Cellular/wireless service
  • On-line billing
  • Voice mail
  • Facsimile reception and transmission
  • Switchboard and information service

Services Provided to University Departments Include:

  • Campus, local, and long-distance calling
  • Cellular/wireless service
  • Pagers
  • Qwest calling cards (for use when traveling on University business)
  • Voice mail and voice bulletin boards
  • Facsimile reception and transmission
  • Switchboard and information service
  • Fiber and wire communication pathways for the campus data network and other signaling circuits

Staff Members:

Telecommunications is an auxiliary enterprise, meeting its total capital and operating expenses through user fees, commissions, and other revenues.
