The
IT Services Student Support Provider (SSP) program offers a
unique pay schedule. Increases in salary are based on
a point system and job performance.
Upon completing courses totaling 50 points,
the SSP is given an increase in pay to the next level
on the payscale--at the discretion of the SSP's supervisor.
The supervisor must approve the courses taken and include
job performance into the salary mix. Once that is completed,
the supervisor is free to upgrade the student's pay
to the next level allowing the student to advance sooner.
The pay levels are listed below.
All pay levels are hourly. Hourly students
receive paychecks every two weeks. Note that the Student
Specialist level may be classified as routine work.
However, market competition and/or nature of the job
make it a "hard to fill" position. Most IT Services
student positions would not fall under this category.
Therefore, IT Services student employees will jump from the
Student Associate level to the Student Master I level
upon supervisory approval.
