verb, two words   The process of gaining access, or signing in, to a computer system. To log on is the verb.  If access is restricted, it requires users to identify themselves by entering an ID number and/or password. Service bureaus often base their charges for the time between logon and logoff

log out of

verb,  three words

login

Noun or a verb. Noun: The account name used to gain access to a computer system. Not a secret (contrast with Password)

logoff

adj. or noun, one word    The process of quitting, or signing off, a computer system. To log off is the verb, 2 words.

logon

not used. See login.

to print or set in lowercase characters.
