Mac OS Support Resources
There are a variety of ways to help
with Mac OS problems. Miami provides some support
options and there are several on-line resources.
MU Knowledge Base -
Support staff collect and post solutions
and answers to various problems in the Miami University
Knowledge Base. You can fidn the Knowledge Base at:

IT Services Support Desk -
All current faculty, staff, and students at Miami
can call the IT Services Support Desk at 529-7900 for assistance
with Mac OS computers.

IT Services Supported Mac OS software -
A list of the software that IT Services support
supports on the Mac OS. Refer to the Supported
Software page for information.
IT Services Software updates -
IT Services maintains an archive of various applications,
updates, and patches for software supported at Miami.

Departmental/Divisional Support -
Faculty and staff can contact the Technology
Support Representatives (TSRs) or other support
staff for their department or division. TSRs support
professional staff and faculty, maintain labs, and
provide technology services to their department or
division. They do not normally support students directly.
Mac-Talk LISTSERV List -
Miami hosts the Mac-Talk LISTSERV for discussion
of Mac OS related topics at Miami. The list is open
to the public. Support staff try to monitor the list
and post when appropriate.

MUApple LISTSERV List -
The MUApple LISTSERV list is for discussion
of issues and dissemination of information regarding
University owned Mac OS equipment. Such information
would include price lists and internal support contacts
that are not appropriate for public distribution.

The Macintosh User Group -
The Macintosh Users Group is not a support
organization for endusers, but anyone is welcome to
join and ask questions. More information about the
