Evaluating Price and Value

Unbeatable service, value and convenience

Miami's Information Technology (IT) Services has worked closely with HP and Apple to configure all Miami Notebook models to include the features we believe are most likely to meet student needs for up to four years. Leveraging the university's collective purchasing power, IT Services and the University Bookstore have negotiated excellent pricing with HP and Apple for these models.

To help you evaluate price and value, we offer comparisons of the Miami Notebook pricing vs. standard higher education pricing as well as an outline of important features of a notebook.

Direct from HP & Apple  Feature Checklist

In addition to obtaining pre-installed software and on-campus support by purchasing a notebook through the Miami Notebook offering, you will receive pricing up to several hundred dollars lower than if you purchased the same notebook with the same configuration options directly from HP or Apple.

Data below reflects findings from research using the vendors' education web sites in April 2008. Prices and configurations are subject to change.
