The Research Computing Support (RCS) group can provide a wide range of
support to researchers. This support can take the form of short
consultations on specific topics or collaborative participation in
on-going research projects.

- Working with high performance computing (HPC) resources at Miami and the Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC).
- Writing, debugging and maintaining software for research.
- Working with databases.
- Creating and analyzing digital texts.
- Analyzing or visualizing data.
- Working with standard software packages including Matlab, SAS, and SPSS.
- Getting new students trained on computer hardware and software used by a research group.
- Finding collaborators for grants and research projects.
- Raising the level of computing technology used in a research program.
- Many other research activities.
