July 23, 2002. Our first 17" LTC monitors have arrived with new IBM NetVista A Series computers. The new monitors are easy on the eyes! Students are accepting these units with great enthusiasm! Installing 19 units in Gaskill and 4 at the MacCracken LTC shares new technology between the two LTC facilities. Combining our high-speed networking and these new computers makes work fast and reliable. The computers boast a fast Pentium 4 1.8 GHz processor and 256 MB of RAM.

January 5, 2002. Through a special arrangement with the School of Engineering and Applied Science, IT Services now offers the use of AutoCAD 2002 for student use in the Gaskill LTC only. Support for the product remains under the department and division.

A companion modeling program, Solid Edge, has also been added to the Gaskill computers.
