200 Gaskill Hall
A need for collaboration areas and high-tech student development on campus led to the renovation of the lab in 200 Gaskill Hall. The renovations, made possible by the Student Technology Fee, include three rooms for small group collabgoration using TeamSpot (below).

The Gaskill Lab is the first facility on campus to offer TeamSpot, a software package designed to allow each person’s computer to have control of a common display system.

Tidebreak's TeamSpot software is the cross-platform digital infrastructure that helps teams actively work together. TeamSpot creates walk-up collaboration zones where groups can explore information in real-time and interactively co-create digital work products, dramatically changing the group collaboration dynamic. TeamSpot lowers barriers to team interaction, increasing creative productivity while actively engaging the entire team to help build consensus around end results.

TeamSpot enables groups to:

  • Work together on large public display screens while interacting from personal laptops
  • Easily move files between computers by dragging and dropping
  • Copy and paste URLs, images, or text snippets across computers
  • Easily discover and share online materials and real-time data
