MUDEC Scholarships
At-a-glance: Eric & Elizabeth Steva MUDEC Scholarship
Transforming students' lives through study abroad in Luxembourg: Eric and I met in the Fall of 1987. We were in a beginning German class together in Irvin Hall and discovered that each of us had already been accepted to the MUDEC program for the Spring 1988 semester. We started dating in the fall and then travelled to Luxembourg together. We travelled all over Europe, sometimes in groups like the ski trip to the Matterhorn or the sailing trip in Greece, sometimes just the two of us to Paris, Barcelona, Venice, Rome, Florence, Berlin and elsewhere. Our experience of the many cultures of Europe through the MUDEC program was exceptional and through the years we have come to realize how important the opportunity to study abroad is to a student’s education. We are endowing the Eric and Elizabeth Steva MUDEC Scholarship with the hope that other students for years to come can have the same enriching experience.
Founded
in 1968 with only 40 students, MUDEC now welcomes 125-130
students per semester and has well over 10,000 alumni all over
the world from our semester and summer programs,
workshops and seminars. Our alumni have wonderful memories of their MUEC/MUDEC
experience and we have fond memories of them! Many students
(as well as faculty and staff) declare that
MUDEC enriched their lives immeasurably and profoundly. We
hope this website will help you keep in touch
with each other and with all of us at MUDEC. |
