Student Workers' General Information
Miami students are paid to work shifts throughout the week to make the conference run more smoothly. The money that students earn by working this conference can be paid to an organization for a fundraiser, or paid to individuals as a giftcard to the university bookstore. Student jobs include:
Van Drivers
- Shuttle conference participants to and from their hotels in the surrounding Oxford area.
- Drive to Walgreens to drop-off/pick-up photos for developing.
Session Chairs
- Introduce conference presenter(s) for assigned session.
- Distribute and collect evaluation forms at the beginning and end of the session.
- Keep time for presenter(s) and signal the stopping point at the end of the session.
Registration Table Assistant
- Welcome participants and distribute conference bags and other materials.
- Answer questions and assist conference participants as needed.
Meal Ticket Takers
- There are 1-3 dining areas in use for each meal. These are either at the Marcum Center or the Miami Inn. 1-2 people stand at the door collecting tickets.
Photography Assistants
- Take photos of presenters and audiences at each session, as well as around the conference center. Getting necessary shots will often require getting into the middle of sessions. Don't be shy about getting close or intruding, just try to keep the disruption to a minimum.
Registration to work the Lilly Conference is now closed. Please direct any questions to Matthew Evins, evinsmj@muohio.edu
