Only gifted students who are Ohio residents who will complete grades 9 – 10 during the 2008 – 2009 school year are eligible to attend. Students may attend either public schools, private schools, be home-schooled, or attend an Indiana school. However, those who attend an Indiana school must reside in Ohio. All students must be able to provide documentation of gifted identification that meets the standards set by ODE.
If you are not currently enrolled in an Ohio public school, you may demonstrate eligibility by submitting documentation showing that you meet the criteria for gifted identification in Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 3301-51-15© “eligibility” in place of this form. The text of OAC 3301-51-15 is available online at www.ode.state.oh.us using the search terms “gifted operating standards.” Please note that a parent or guardian’s signature is not sufficient to establish eligibility to participate in a Summer Honors Institute.
Please contact your school's Guidance Counselor or visit the Ohio Department of Education website for more information.
