The publicity information provided on the Credit Workshop Proposal can be tailored to fit many different communication media. Please keep this in mind when completing the publicity section of your proposal.

This workshop will familiarize students with the art, design, and cultural history of Bohemia as the context for contemporary art-making in the Czech Republic. Students will create new art works researched and produced on the theme of the Baroque with a cohort of Czech students from the Institute of Art and Design of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, on-site at a castle in the Sumava Mountains.

The Miami University summer program in Florence, Italy is an all-majors workshop offering eight or nine credits, including thematic sequence options. In this academic cultural immersion workshop, students experience the art and architecture of Italy, Italian and other European cinemas, and the literary heritage of Europe.

The program is an introduction to the nature of business. The SBI is an approved Miami Plan Thematic Sequence. It is designed for students without academic preparation in business and who have majors outside the School of Business. We will provide a well integrated summary of business essentials from three perspectives. Specific content areas include an overview and history of business, organizational and human resource issues, entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, accounting, operations, and more externally focused supply chain management concepts.

Students work in small seminar style classes with an emphasis on discussion and engaged learning in French. They benefit from visiting lectures by intellectuals from France and the US.

This three-week study tour (6 credit hours, taught in English) will be an intensive study of Russian culture. Students examine the intersection of religion, literature, film, visual arts and architecture.

Summer Intensive Chinese offers an opportunity to travel to China and to complete two semesters' course work in first, second, and third-year Chinese, plus 1-3 credit hours in culture.
Dijon is a beautiful small city located among rolling vineyards in the historic heart of Burgundy, just an hour and half by train from Paris and two and a half hours form Geneva, Switzerland.

The tour will include Moscow and St. Petersburg, with major historical and cultural sites such as the Kremlin and the Hermitage. Visit the most important Russian Orthodox sites, have a walking tour of Dostoevsky's St. Petersburg, and tour the Tolstoy estate.

Anatolia, with its 10,000 years of history, and as one of the earliest locations for settled agricultural society, land of the Hittite kingdoms, Phrygians, Lydians, and many others offers yet another layer of cultural and historical exposure.

Vietnam is the second-fastest-growing economy in Asia. Both Vietnam and Cambodia offer its charming people, rich culture, and unbelievable sights.

As the third largest city in China, Tianjin is conveniently located merely a little over an hour from the capital Beijing by car or train, making the Great Wall, Forbidden City, and other attractions accessible for daily trips. Organized trips also include Shanghai and Tanggu Special Economic Zone.

For the same tuition costs as summer study at Miami University's Oxford campus, students can fulfill half the course requirements for the French Minor, or nearly one third of the requirements for the French Major. The Department of French and Italian offer this intensive French study program.

Prerequisites: All undergraduates must have completed French 202 before the program begins in order to be eligible to participate. They must also demonstrate motivation for study abroad and strong language skills in order to be successful. Ideally, students who have completed French 301 are best suited for the intensity and level of the program.

A capstone course in Kinesiology and Health (KNH), this workshop is open to students interested in examining the biological, psychological, socio-cultural, economic, geographic, and political influences on sport and health in a global world.
In 20 days your class will visit the Netherland's, Germany, Ireland, Scotland & England and along the way you'll cross several diverse sporting and cultural borders. You will be exposed to a number of different sports and will no doubt increase your knowledge of sport in the global community.
Program cost (non-tuition) $5,700.00.

Game-Based Learning

This workshop is open to all educators and instructional designers interested in the use and design of games and game-based learning environments education and training. Participants will explore both educational and commercial games to look at how they have been integrated for teaching and learning; participants will also learn to use tools and low-cost, low-tech options for creating their own game-based learning environments.

Pubicity information from the credit workshop proposal form can be used to create flyers to promote the program. Flyers can be printed or shared on the web or via email in .pdf format.

Sandwich boards can be reserved from the Sign Shop in Cole Service Building 513-529-7039.
Once you have called and made reservations you can contact Kim at Lifelong Learning to help you with design of your large format posters for the signs.
After the posters are designed, you can have them printed at the Miami Print Center in Gaskill Hall, printcenter@muohio.edu with specifications that they be delivered to the Sign Shop. The sign shop will then display them at your scheduled time and location.
