The Center for Postsecondary
Research (CPR) at Indiana University (http://www.cpr.iub.edu/index.cfm)
CPR promotes student success by providing support to
higher education institutions as well as conducting
research on student engagement and achievement. CPR
conducts several national surveys on student engagement
including the National Survey of Student Engagement
(NSSE), the College Student Experiences Questionnaire
(CSEQ), the Faculty Survey of Student Enagement (FSSE),
and the Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement

The Critical Thinking Community

Includes a wide array of critical thinking articles
(under "resources"), discussion forums, and
additional information about critical thinking in higher
education.
Higher Education Research
Institute (HERI) at UCLA (http://www.gseis.ucla.edu/heri/index.php)
HERI is an interdisciplinary center for research and
evaluation of post-secondary education. HERI conducts
multiple national surveys, including the Cooperative
Institutional Research Program (CIRP) Freshman Survey,
Your First College Year (YFCY) Survey, the College Senior
Survey (CSS), and the HERI Faculty Survey. Details on

The IDEA Center (Individual
Development and Educational Assessment)

While the website primarily focuses on assessment products
that are designed by the IDEA Center, the "Client
Resources" portion of the website includes many
teaching and assessment-related articles.
National Institute for Science
Education (NISE) (http://www.wcer.wisc.edu/archive/cl1/)
NISE is dedicated to improving students' learning experiences
and critical thinking skills by fostering innovation
in introductory STEM education at the college level.
This website includes a Learning Assessment Guide for
science, math, engineering, and technology instructors,
including an Assessment Primer and information on Classroom
Assessment Techniques (CATs).
Rubistar
(http://rubistar.4teachers.org)
Rubistar is a free tool intended to help faculty design
rubrics. Rubistar allows users to identify general content
areas for the rubric as well as specific learning outcomes.
Rubistar then provides appropriate rubric categories
based on the learning outcomes identified.
