About Columbus
Columbus, Ohio, a sophisticated yet livable city, is the home of the Ohio State University. The capital of Ohio, Columbus has passed Cincinnati and is the second largest city in the state. It has a lively arts scene, excellent restaurants, wonderful museums, and is an active sports city. For example, the Short North boasts 26 art galleries and theatres, 40 restaurants, 25 pubs and clubs, and 70 specialty shops. The village of Worthington (a few miles North of the hotel right on the jogging trail) offers the charm of a traditional New England Village. (It also is the location of both of George Kelly’s houses when he was at Ohio State.) While the German Village and Brewery District may seem self explanatory, we should hasten to add that many of the fine restaurants there offer alternatives to German cuisine. In other words, the neighborhood is more diverse than one might think.
