What are the eligibility requirements for the Junior Scholars Program?
Domestic Students:
International Student:
- You will need to be in year 11, in a 12-year system, or in year 11 or year
12, in a 13-year system.
- You will need to have a strong academic record showing challenging courses
with very good marks.
- If you are in a 12 or 13-year system, then you need to summit an official
high school transcript that includes courses and marks from year 9 to the
first half of the current year. Otherwise, you will need to submit an official
high school transcript that includes courses and marks for the last two
complete years and the first half of the current year.
- You will need to submit the results of any achievement tests you have
taken (e.g. PSAT, SAT, PLAN, ACT, or IB).
- You will need to submit an explanation of the grading system at your
school and a school profile, if one is available.
- You will need to submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or high
school official.
- If English is not your native language, then you will need to demonstrate
competency in English. This can be done by submitting the results from the
TOEFL examination. If such results are not available, then supply a letter
from your current English teacher that certifies that your English language
skills are sufficient for you to read, write, speak, and learn in English.
- You will need to have the approval of a parent or guardian.
