Resources for Workshops
If you are planning to offer a Study Abroad Credit Workshop for Miami students and need assistance with the on-site logistics (such as renting academic space and accommodations, course-related excursions, transportation, crisis management, etc.), please know that several of Miami's approved partners provide these services.
These providers (AIFS, CEA, IES and ISA) will assist you in making arrangements and will charge a cost that will be included in the workshop budget as a pro-rata charge per participant that will be paid by each student. Some providers assist with all possible arrangements, including airfare, while others only offer accommodation and excursion assistance. In addition to providing logistical assistance, the provider can also serve as an invaluable support abroad in case of emergencies.
Whether or not to utilize a service provider is the decision of the faculty leader. Depending on your level of expertise at the site and the amount of available time to make arrangements and negotiate costs on your own, a provider's assistance may be invaluable to you and your program.
