4) Study Abroad Information Sessions

Next week we will be holding student-led information sessions for some of the most popular study abroad destinations.  So if you're thinking about any of these locations, you might want to come and learn more about day-to-day life in that country and the experiences our returned students had, inside and outside of the classroom, while studying abroad.

  • Italy – Monday, March 3 – 8-9pm in 114 MacMillan
  • United Kingdom and Ireland – Tuesday, March 4 – 8-9pm in 114 MacMillan
  • Spain and Latin America – Wednesday, March 5 – 8-9pm in 30 Irvin
  • Australia and New Zealand – Thursday, March 6 – 8-9pm in 114 MacMillan

This could be a way to learn more about locations you're considering or to orient yourself to the location you've already chosen.  It's also a great way to get to know the students who have gone to your host country, so that you can ask them questions in the future.

7) Featured Study Abroad Location of the Month: Costa Rica

Many people are drawn to Costa Rica's natural beauty.  In addition to its beautiful climate and biodiversity, Costa Rica offers study abroad students access to a well-developed higher education system.  Some students choose to study in thematic programs such as Sustainable Development, Tropical Ecology and Conservation, or Ecological Studies, and some choose to take classes directly from Costa Rica's universities, enrolling in subjects such as Literature, Business, Art History or Political Science.  Miami offers many different Exchange, Co-Sponsored and Approved programs in Costa Rica which can cater to students' different interests and language levels.
