We are pleased to announce that beginning in fall 2007, Miami students will be able to apply their Miami scholarships (excluding Ohio Leader/Ohio Resident, which are only applicable to Miami tuition) to semester-long programs through IES, CIEE and SIT.  By moving these programs from the Affiliated to the Co-Sponsored category, we hope that more students will be able to take advantage of these high-quality programs and that students who may not have planned to study abroad for a semester or year will now take advantage of the wider range of programs on which they can use their scholarships.  These new programs cover the following countries:

  • Africa/Middle East:  Botswana, Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana, Jordan, Kenya, Madagascar, Morocco, Oman, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda
  • Americas: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Jamaica, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru

4) Summer Programs Going Online

The Office of Lifelong Learning has started the process of approving credit workshops for summer 2008.  These programs will be going online at http://www.muohio.edu/lifelonglearning/summer/abroad/abroad.html as they are approved and we will try to keep up on the individual country pages at http://www.muohio.edu/international/programs.php.  If you’re already interested in a program and don’t see it listed yet, please contact the faculty director or the associated department for more information.
