2007 Contest Rules and Information
It's time again for the Miami University Office of International Education's third annual Study Abroad Photography Contest! Miami students and faculty who have participated in study abroad programs between summer 2006 and spring 2007 are welcome to submit photographs for consideration in this year's contest. The deadline for submission is Monday, September 3, 2007. The top photographs will be displayed in MacMillan Hall September 17 - December 20, 2007.
This year's categories are:
- Culture, Identity & Faces of the World
- Streets, Cities & Architectural Wonders
- Landscapes from Afar
- Intersecting Lives: Diversity and Globalization
Please send no more than one photograph per category, in high-resolution electronic format (either from a digital camera or a high-res scanned version of a film picture - photographs will be enlarged to 8x10"). Include a title for each photograph, as well as the location, the category, your name and the study abroad program you were on. Photographs can be sent by email to Sarah McNitt.
There are no prizes, although the top photos in each category (as chosen by our office) will be displayed in MacMillan Hall. By submitting your photos to the contest, you give Miami University and the Office of International Education permission to use your submissions for publicity and promotional purposes, including brochures, websites and presentations. We reserve the right to reassign your photos to a more appropriate category as we see fit.
Thanks for participating! We look forward to another great Study Abroad Photography Contest this year.
