Study Abroad Events Calendar
Events marked with a  icon are also available as Facebook Events. Facebook members can click on the icon for more information about the event (if you are not a Facebook member, contact an advisor with any questions you might have). If you RSVP to a Facebook event, Facebook can remind you when it's coming up and we can let you know if it is cancelled or changed in some way.
Some study abroad programs may accept applications after the official application deadline if they are not yet full. Please check with the program to be sure.

Study Abroad 101 group advising information session - Mondays-Thursdays, 4-4:30pm, 216 MacMillan. This group information session covers:
- how to search for a study abroad program
- how to apply for study abroad scholarships and
- an introduction to the study abroad office and its resources.
Students are strongly encouraged to attend this session before making an appointment to meet one-on-one with a study abroad advisor. This session is offered four days a week throughout the school year. Session cancellations will be announced via Facebook and Twitter and below on this page, when possible.
April 2013
Monday, April 15 - Deadline to complete Office of International Education online application. For summer, fall and academic year 2013. Check with your program to learn their application deadline, as programs' own application deadlines may be earlier or later than April 15. This deadline may be extended for individual students. Email international@miamioh.edu if you have missed the deadline but want to start/complete a study abroad application.
Saturday, April 27 - Study Abroad Pre-Departure Orientation A - 12-2pm, 322 McGuffey. Attendance at a pre-departure orientation session is required for all students studying abroad in summer or fall 2013 or the full 2013-14 academic year on Exchange, Co-Sponsored and Approved programs. Students must attend either session A or session B. If you cannot attend either, you will be contacted to arrange a makeup session. We will be discussing Miami study abroad procedures, health and safety, money matters, travel tips, registration on your return to Miami, etc. There will be a presentation by study abroad advisors as well as a panel of returning students who will talk about packing, academics, health and safety, and other study abroad questions you have.

Friday, May 10 - Deadline to turn in Transfer Credit Approval Forms - Please make an effort to complete your Transfer Credit Approval Forms before the end of the semester, as it may be more difficult to find the appropriate advisor during the break. We will accept Transfer Credit Approval Forms after this date, but want to strongly encourage students to complete them before the end of the semester. If you are using a Consortium Agreement to transfer financial aid, please be aware that submitting the Transfer Credit Approval Form is one of the steps in completing your Consortum Agreement.
