Washington has one of the cheapest and most efficient public transportation systems in the world. The Metro is easy to use and quick. A car is not necessary in Washington because the Metro goes everywhere and it is very expensive to park a car.

As part of the program you will take the Metro everywhere. In previous years, students have purchased week-long metro passes or pre-paid swipe cards.
