Environmental Geology, 6th Edition by Montgomery, 2003 In addition to this text, some readings will be assigned from relevant books and articles. These will be handed out to you in class or made available on reserve in the library. Readings will include excerpts from: Taking Sides: Clashing Views on Controversial Environmental Issues, Tenth Edition (2003) by T. A. Easton and T. D. Goldfarb, McGraw-Hill/Dushkin, Guilford, CT.

Overview

Environmental geology describes the relation between people and the geologic environment. The course provides a basic understanding of geologic hazards and how geologic processes affect natural resources, environmental pathways, and the way we look at our world.
