Employee Classifications - Miami University consists of classified staff and unclassified staff. Classified staff includes hourly:
Supervisory, Administrative and Technical Support Staff (SATSS)
American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees(AFSCME)
Fraternal Order of Police (FOP)
These employees are paid bi-weekly, 26 times a year.

Unclassified staff includes salaried administrative staff and faculty who are paid monthly.
Faculty are paid over 9 months, unless Academic Personnel is notified in writing by August 8 that they wish to be paid over 12 months.
