Checklist for Fall 2012 Admission

Application deadline is February 1. Only complete applications will be reviewed; please be sure that all of your materials are sent to us promtply. Requirements for Graduate Admissions can be found at http://www.miami.muohio.edu/graduate-studies/index.html. For your application packet to be considered complete, you will need to submit the following items to the Graduate School:

• Graduate Application domestic applications are done on-line with a $50 application fee payable by credit card; international applications can be downloaded with a $50 application fee payable with a check or money order (drawn on a U.S. Bank).
• Transcripts must be submitted with all applications. If you are accepted into the program, official hard copies of your transcripts with be required.
• Official GRE scores
• Official TOEFL scores (foreign students only)

• Three letters of recommendation can be sent in hard copy or (domestic applicants only) electronically via on-line application form
• Statement of Purpose (include information about your research interests and post-degree plans) can be submitted electronically via on-line application form (domest applicants only) or by email (foreign students)
• Resume (1-2 page resume including relevant academic and work experience; if applicable, include prior research and teaching experience, publications and presentations, and any grants or awards) can be submitted electronically via on-line application form (domestic applicants only) or by email (foreign students)

International applicants can alternatively send the leetters of recommendation, statement of purpose and resume to: Cathy Edwards, Department of Geology and Environmental Earth Science, Miami University, 114 Shideler Hall, Oxford, Ohio 45056 or via fax (513-529-1542) or e-mail to edwardca@muohio.edu.
