Dr. Yelizaveta Skryzhevska
At the age of five I realized that geography is my passion and I have been pretty consistent since then. I like visiting places, seeing new things and meeting new people. My scientific interests lay in the fields of Human and Social Geography, Regional Development, Geographic Information Systems and countries of Eastern Europe including post-Soviet countries.
My recent dissertation research is devoted to the spatial inequalities in Ukraine associated with the transition to market economy. This study attempts to identify inequality in regional development in Ukraine, to explain its evolution and to analyze factors that influence process of regional growth.
