Thomas W. Billing - MU Jazz Ensembles
Thomas W. Billing is a visiting instructor at Miami University and director of the Miami University Jazz Ensembles. An active professional trombonist for well over 40 years, he performs or has performed as a regular 
member of the jazz bands of Glenn Miller, Kim Kelly, Joe Aceto, Frank Neville, Ian Polster, Bob Gray, and J. Bradley, and with the Holiday on Ice Orchestra, West Ohio Gas Big Band, Microcosm, the Dream Jazz Band, the Lima Symphony Orchestra and the Springfield (Ohio) Symphony.
He has performed behind Urbie Green, Four Freshmen, Tommy Tune, Bernadette Peters,
Joel Grey, Wyne Newton, The Temptations, Shirley Jones, Jack Jones, The Mills Brothers, and Red Skelton, among others.
With degrees from Ohio Northern University, his teaching credentials include 35 years as director of the instrumental music program at Springfield North High School in Springfield, Ohio.
