G. Roger Davis - Music composition

G. Roger Davis holds a DMA and a MM in composition from The Ohio State University. His Bachelors Degree is from Berklee College of Music. He was a faculty G. Roger Davismember at Berklee from 1984 through 1986 where he taught jazz theory, jazz arranging, aural training, and directed numerous jazz and popular music ensembles. Since 1990 he has served as Assistant Professor of music theory at Miami University. Dr. Davis is an active commercial music and art music composer. His music for jingles, industrial videos, and television programs have been heard in the U.S.A., Canada, Europe, and Japan. With Music Department Associate Professor, Dr. Claire Boge, Dr. Davis has co-presented numerous music theory papers at regional and national meetings of the Society for Music Theory and the College Music Society.

In 1995 Dr. Davis's work, The Dancing Difference, was recorded by the Moravian Philharmonic, Rubin Silve, conducting. The CD is out on the Vienna Modern Masters label.
