Heather MacPhail - Accompaning
Heather MacPhail is an established keyboard artist in the Cincinnati area. She performs regularly as piano soloist, organist, and accompanist on various Concert Series programs, and has been featured on the Taft Museum Chamber Music Series, Cincinnati Symphony Chamber Music Series, and the Oxford Music at Noon Series. Ms. MacPhail has performed as piano soloist with the Miami University Symphony Orchestra, the Miami University String Quartet, and the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra. She is a frequent keyboardist with the 
Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra, performing on piano, organ, celesta, and harpsichord
Ms. MacPhail has been the piano accompanist for the Cincinnati May Festival Chorus for seventeen years. In addition, she serves as Music Assistant to Robert Porco, Director of the Chorus. The past two summers, Ms. MacPhail has prepared the May Festival Summer Chorus for performances at Riverbend Music Center with the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.. Ms. MacPhail is in her tenth year as staff accompanist at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. There, she coaches undergraduate and graduate piano majors in accompanying, and performs in master classes and recitals with students, faculty, and guest artists. Performances with faculty have included travel throughout the United States and Puerto Rico. Ms. MacPhail maintains a private teaching studio for organ and piano. She has been the organist at Westwood First Presbyterian Church for fourteen years, appearing on the Concert Series there as well, as both organ and piano soloist.
Ms. MacPhail holds a Master of Music degree in accompanying and a Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She has served as accompanist and/or vocal coach for the Cincinnati Opera Company, Cincinnati Ballet Company, Cincinnati Choral Society, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music Childrens’ Choir. She was a faculty member of the College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory Department for fifteen years.
