Undergraduate Admission Information 
Please note: Each undergraduate applicant must apply to the university and, separately, the the Department of Music, and must be accepted by both to become a music major.
Each undergraduate applicant, whether first-year or transfer, applies for admission to the Department of Music through the process of audition. The process begins with the applicant's requesting an audition. The audition is performed in front of the department's Admissions/Scholarship Committee and gives the applicant an opportunity to display his or her ability, meet the faculty, and have questions answered concerning all aspects of the Department of Music. The audition also serves as a scholarship audition for incoming students.
