What's New with First in 2009?
In 2005-2006, the First in 2009 Coordinating Council monitored the progress made on the recommendations offered in the 2004-2005 subcommittee reports and focused on four new topics:
- Enhancing Academic Integrity
- Ensuring Effective Departmental Governance
- Promoting Interdisciplinarity
- Cultivating Academic Leadership
Four subcommittees were formed to create reports which include a set of recommendations relating to these topics.
In order to continue advancing the goals of the First in 2009 vision, a new council will be constituted for the 2006-2007 academic year.
