Insincerity is just a lie of communication.  Both parties can be served equally as well in their goals of communicating when the lie persists unacknowledged.  The typicality of the interactions cultivates the knowledge of how to perceive the situation and, thus, react in a typical manner.  The routine of Leesa’s cry-baby spats caused me to allow an insincere response to be the medium of my continuing on with life and her need to vent who knows what.  My repressed disgust with interrupting my favorite novel can verify the lie behind what could have seemed to be a semi-caring response.  However, the insincerity that seems crude to an outsider, can actually serve the purpose of communication most wisely and effectively.  While it is a lie, it works!  Insincerity is cheap and efficient in the economy of communication.
