Welcome!!!
This past semester in English 495, “The Culture
of Information: Living the Internet” we have been studying how information
changes technology and the way one thinks about knowledge and information.
In this website you will find two papers.
Paper #1 is a story about my housemate and how failed communication leads to
insincerity. Please note the distractions one faces when trying to read the
text, similar to distractions one faces every day when trying to effectively
communicate.
The second paper, entitled The New
Standard of Literature examines how electronic literature is changing how
one thinks of literature and what constitutes as being “great” literature. I
have linked paragraphs from my related essay entitled Canon Anthologizers
which further examines the economics behind the formation of the canon.
I hope you enjoy this website. I hope if
reflects the vas amount of knowledge I have learned in Laura Mandell’s class. Enjoy!
