Sights on Campus
Photo of Alumni Hall
Alumni Hall, completed in 1910 with joint funding from the Alumni Centennial Fund and the Andrew Carnegie Foundation, was Miami’s state–of–the–art library at that time. It featured a 70–foot–high rotunda, reading rooms, and a collection of 28,000 books. Additional wings were added in 1924 and 1952. Alumni remained the main library until the completion of King Library in 1972. It was extensively rennovated in the early 1990s and now houses the Architecture Department and Art/Architecture Library.
