Conference Home
This conference celebrates Virginia Woolf’s diverse and intersecting interests in art, education, and internationalism. Miami University of Oxford, Ohio, gladly welcomes the scholars, readers, and friends of Woolf from around the globe to join in the conversation as we meet to explore these themes together.
A spectrum of intellectual fare will be provided ranging from keynote addresses, plenary panels, roundtables, and parallel panel sessions. In addition, several featured speakers have been arranged for your enjoyment:

- Urmila Seshagiri, University of Tennessee
- Jane de Gay, Trinity and All Saints College, Leeds

Special workshops will include:
- Woolf and writing workshop presented by Anne Fernald, Fordham Univeristy: “Thrilling Difficulty: Virginia Woolf, Students, and the Joys and Challenges of Difficult Texts”
- Roundtable presented by Beth Rigel Daugherty, Otterbein University, Jane Lilienfeld, Lincoln University, and Moira Casey, Miami University–Middletown: “Talking Together: A Roundtable Discussion about Teaching Virginia Woolf”

Entertainments and special events will include:
- A Woolf film festival
- A period dinner
- A Woolf-inspired reading event
- Silent auction of Woolf books provided by the International Woolf Society
- A tour of the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
- A screening of the film Suffragettes in the Silent Cinema featuring satiric clips of nickelodeon melodramas created by early twentieth-century women’s suffrage activists
