2004 CAS Outstanding Teacher Awards
Elizabeth Mackay and Lisa Suter have won the College of Arts and Science Outstanding Teacher Award. Liz is a third-year doctoral student in literature; Lisa is a fourth-year doctoral student in composition and rhetoric. The College recognizes three graduate students each year for this honor and $500 award. This is the third year that the Outstanding Teacher Award has been won by English department graduate students: Amie Fletcher, MA/literature, received the award in 2004 and Brenda Helmbrecht, Ph.D./composition and rhetoric, in 2003.
Congratulations also to Michele Polak, Ph.D./comp-rhet, graduate student winner of this year's Women Breaking Barriers Award!
